The Challenge
Approximately 72 million U.S. adults (27%) lack dental insurance, creating major barriers to preventive care and treatment—particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.

Our Role
Schmidt Consulting partnered with a nonprofit dental clinic to identify high-impact funding opportunities, secure grants, support implementation, and ensure compliance. In parallel, we collaborated with clinic leadership on an earned media strategy to amplify grant awards and communicate community impact.

$235,000 secured in capacity-building and equipment grants, enabling the clinic to modernize operations, invest in critical technology, and expand patient capacity—resulting in improved efficiency, quality of care, and access for the community.

The Challenge
Career-focused education models are essential for preparing students for today’s workforce, yet the cost of industry-grade equipment often exceeds school system budgets limiting access to meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Our Role
Schmidt Consulting partnered with the client and school and business stakeholders to identify targeted funding opportunities and develop results-driven grant applications supporting equipment purchases for computer science, medical arts, construction, and production-based career pathways.

$150,000 in grant funding was secured to equip five high school career-focused programs with modern, industry-relevant technology, providing students with authentic, real-world experience that better prepares them for workforce entry or postsecondary success.

The Challenge
Emergency preparedness is a critical responsibility for nonprofits, local governments, and community organizations, yet essential investments like large-scale generators often carry significant, unfunded costs needed to maintain operations during severe weather events.

Schmidt Consulting partnered with a client to identify strategic funding sources and develop competitive grant applications supporting the acquisition of large-scale generators for emergency response and continuity of operations.

Outcome & Impact
$4M in funding was secured for generator implementation projects now underway, strengthening organizational resilience and ensuring uninterrupted delivery of critical services before, during, and after severe weather. This directly supports community safety and emergency response efforts.
